As a film student, Brett Seamans’ first industry gig included writing script coverage for Burnt Orange Productions, an Austin-based outfit that made spirited indies for the theatrical & VOD markets such as The Quiet and Elvis and Anabelle.
Brett continued his association with Burnt Orange Productions by serving as an editorial intern on Adam Rifkin’s National Lampoon’s Stoned Age. Additionally, he performed assistant editor duties on Watchmaker Films’ documentary Mississippi Chicken.
After receiving a film degree from The University of Texas, Mr. Seamans spent years completing various writing projects while receiving accolades for his half-hour TV spec scripts.
Beyond the screenwriting world, Brett has penned film reviews for the San Antonio Current and Houston Reader. He became a Shriekfest screenplay judge in 2016 due to his love for the genre and passion for discovering new talent.
